How Should I Treat A Swollen, Bruised, Warm, And Painful Spot On The Shin After A Softball Injury?

I got hit in the shin very hard with a softball and it immediately turned into a goose egg and very swollen, bruised and painful. It throbs not moving but I can walk but it hurts to walk. when I touch it it’s warm in the injured area but no where else
