How Should Logynon Pill Be Used ?
My daughter has just started on Logynon to ease heavy periods and also to regulate as she is going overseas, they are a little different to the pill I used and I am confused as where to start on the packet. She has just finished her period yesterday, where do I start. Also how does she skip a period when she is away? Are the white tablets at the bottom of the packet the sugar ones? does she just skip these and continue on a new packet. Thanks

Logynon is a combined oc pill.It needs to be started on day 1 of menstrual cycle or day 5 of the cycle.She will have to start from the top of the packet from day 1.The last 7 pills in the bottom(usually different coloured)are the placebos.Ideally the periods comes when these pills are being taken(in a 28 pill packet)If she doesnt want her period then she should take 21 pills and immediately start a new packet omitting the placebos.
