How Should Mifegest Kit Be Used For Abortion?
I took mefipristone tablet. After few hours it started bleeding scanty after 24 hours it stopped. I took four misoprostol tablets after 36 hours but I have no bleeding after three hours. What should I do now? I am 18years old and my last menstrual date was 28th March 2017. I am using mifegest kit.

Hi,
Normally Mifepristone acts by depriving hormones that are essential for fetal growth. Mifepristone is followed by 2 pills of Misoprostol after 48 hours. After this 2 more pills of Misoprostol are taken after 12 hours.
This schedule mostly brings about abortion in the next couple of days. You did not have much bleeding after misoprostol pills. This needs a review of the pregnancy status by USG scan.
Sometimes the pregnancy is resistant to drugs, hence, no response. It can be tubal pregnancy (which needs to be excluded before starting the kit.
Sometimes delay in periods is due to some other cause. So it may not be pregnancy, hence, no response.
