How Should Mupirocin Ointment Be Applied?

Please, I saw mupirocin Oitment USP , 2% but the dosage and administration said not for intranasal use. The doctor indicated that I put this medicine into the nasal. What can I to do? ( Iam sorry , I dont know speak and writing in english) I must to change for the brand Bactroban nasal?

Hi,

Mupirocin ointment is a mild antibiotic ointment to be used for prescribed time to cure subcutaneous infections but it also can be used intranasally without any risk. Use it in a small amount to the intranasal lesion as per advised by your doctor.
