How Should A Big Toe Blister Wound Be Treated?

I have a diabetic wound on right big toe. It is on the bottom. It heals over on top or seems to but but will not heal inside. Have had this since 2009 from a blister while moving. It is only the size of about a pencil eraser around barely. Was told that maybe shaving some of the bone in my toe would correct this n help heal. I have such a hard time healing this worries me it have to deal with larger wound. Do you think this would be a good option for me?

Dear sir i can understand your concerns.
in my opinion the ulcer is due to excess pressure point in that are due to diabetic neuropathy.
some times due to diabetic peripheral vascular disease also the wound will not heal this can be due to decreased blood supply.
so i suggest you to meet a podiatrist and suggest him to provide a customized footwear where the pressure points are taken care and healing is promoted
in case of osteomyelitis(bone infection)only its advisable to do some nebling of bone.
in case of no bone infection it is not advisable to go for shaving of bone.
regards
