How Should A Knee Lump With Bruising Be Treated?

I have a bump that feels like bone on the inside of my right knee. It also has brusing around it. I do not have swelling. I do not have any pain in the area. What do you think it is? By the way I play hockey twice a week but I do not remember hurting it. I am 56 years old.
