How Should Alopecia Areata Causing Bald Patches Be Treated?

My daughter is 5 years old and is having bald patches on her head. Her doctor said that she is suffering from Alopecia Areata. She was given oral steroids (methylprednisolone) thrice a week (8mg per day) alongwith Biotin tablets (5mg) and Zoflut cream to be applied on the effected areas with Folifast tincture. Her bald patches increased both in number and size even after medication. We took a second opinion after continuing for one and half of this medication. Her second Doctor prescribed her oral steroids (betnesol forte) twice a week (2mg per day) alongwith Hairbless lotion and Clonate cream. Her problem is still the same and her bald patches are still increasing but at a slower rate. However there are no hair growth visible on the patches. She is also losing lot of hair while combing. We had her health check up done yesterday. All the reports including liver function, kidney function, blood sugar, thyroid were normal. However her neutrophil count is 77.4% and lymphocytes is 18.9%. The rest of the haemogram results are normal. Kindly advise on how to get my daughter cured.
