How Should Anterolisthesis, Disc Herniation With Other Spinal Problems Be Treated?

My mother(age- 47 years) is suffering severe back pain problem. The MRI report says: GRADE 1 ANTEROLISTHESIS AT L4-L5 LEVEL WITH POSTERO CENTRAL DISC HERNIATION AT L4-L5 LEVEL CAUSING COMPRESSION OF CAUDA EQUINA NERVE ROOTS & ACQUIRED SPINAL CANAL STENOSIS. Please suggest necessary remedy for the problem. a local doctor has suggested for surgery in which steel rod has to be implanted in back area. Kindly suggest abour remedy
