How Should Burning And Itching Sensation Along With Redness At The Lips Be Treated?

Hi, I am having a new problem with my lips. They are burning and itchy and red. This has been going on for a week. They feel tight. Any lip balm causes pain. Vaseline or olive oil relieve the sensation momentarily. I work outside a lot, but that is not a new thing. Any ideas?
