How Should Excessively Lengthy Periods With PMS Be Treated?

For 2 years my menstrual cycle is 1 week to 28 days w/less than 2 weeks between each period. I have Kaiser & I have seen two separate doctors. Both ran tests & all tests came out fine. One doctor said hysterectomy is an option, the other said it is just my body. Help! Do I really have to continue living with excessive length in periods & PMS?
