How Should Eye Irritation Caused By A Spray Be Treated?
I was cleaning a reusable air filter on my car and using a cleaning in order to clean out the filter. As I was cleaning, some of the mist from the spray got into my eye. The active ingredient is Sodium Metasilicate Pentahydrate. I flushed out my eyes immediately with water, and have done so several times afterward. It's been a few days and I feel slight irritation in my eye still, even though there is nothing visibly wrong with my eye that I can see. Should I just wait for a while to see if the irritation goes away?

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having irritation of the eyes following exposure to a spray. Since you have washed the eyes you have done the first aid. The next thing that needs to be done is use artificial tears and antibiotic eye drops for symptomatic relief and to treat secondary infection if any. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and prescription of drugs.
Hope the information is helpful to you. Do write back to me for further questions.
