Hi,

There are medications such as beta blockers and calcium channel blockers, which decrease both heart rate and blood pressure.
I would advise you to discuss your treatment possibilities with your doctor, and maybe there will be need to undergo ECG and holter monitoring for detecting the cause of your palpitations.
Anyway you should know, that for each treatment some time is needed (for example 2 week), to achieve it's maximum effect. As you didn't mention your treatment, it is not excluded that your doctor has already prescribed you those medication, and you only need to wait some time for the effect. But if you feell there is no benefit after a week you should visit your doctor again.

Wish you good health
