How Should Irregular And Spotty Periods Be Treated?

Hi! I got my period in 3 rd grade and it was regular until 5 th grade... It didn't come on at all. In 6 th grade, it came on but cut off the very day! now Im going to college, and It was spotty but not completely on. My mom said that it happened to her when she was young but hers came back on and was regular again.. nothing like this runs in the family and I am afarid that I wont be able to have children when I get older..
