How Should Irregular Menstrual Periods Be Treated?

Hello doctor, I am 22 yrs old and i am facing the problem of irregular menstrual periods.After i shifted to Jaipur 4 yrs back my periods have gradually become irregular. In fact now its been more den 10 days of my dates my periods did not occur.Even my last periods occurred after a gap of 1.5 months of the date.I really tensed about it Please help.I am also overweight as i am 5.2 ft but weigh 59 kgs.so can this be because of weight.
