How Should Knee Pain After An Accident Be Treated?

Hi, few months back I met with an accident and for the last two months I am feeling in my knee. After the accident I immediately reported to a hospital and they have given me painkiller and x-rayed my knee area but still I am facing pain. What should I do now?
