How Should Leg Bruising With Darkening Be Treated?

I have a pretty bad bruise on my leg (inside of my knee) from a car accident. It appears to be getting darker and now has 2 bruised streaks leading downward from it. I was seen immediately after the accident (and the bruise had not appeared yet), but I'm wondering if I should go back in. The bruise is my only injury.
