How Should Periods Which Are Abnormal And Unpredictable Be Treated?

So, my periods have always been abnormal but recently they have become really unpredictable. My previous period was very short and abnormal, only lasting 2 or 3 days and my flow was very light when usually it is really heavy and lasts around 4-5 days. I have taken two pregnancy tests, both negative. What do I do?
