How Soon After A Missed Period Is A Pregnancy Test Accurate?

Initially a couple of weeks after my last period I thought I was pregnant, I felt like I was and had quite a few early signs , and also a lot of pains. However I have taken several pregnancy tests which have been negative and have missed a period. How long do I leave it before I go to a Doctor?

Understand your concern
Home urinary pregnancy kit: It will give positive result 8-10 days after missed period. It should be done in early morning with fresh urine sample.
Blood HCG: It detect the pregnancy earliest at 10-12 days after the implantation/with in 7 days of missed period. For that venous blood sample should be drawn from antecubital vein after consulting the gynaecologist.

USG scan: It gives you visual proof of pregnancy. When your blood HCG> 1100 mIU/L, gestational yolk sac can be fond the uterine cavity suggestive of pregnancy. It will occur arond 3-4 week of pregnancy.

So do home pregnancy test at 8 to 10 days after delayed period and correlate it with Blood HCG by consulting the gynaecologist.
Some time in ectopic pregnancy give negative HPT in early stage so better to go for Blood HCG 8-10 days after delayed period.
