How Soon After Delayed Periods Can Pregnancy Test Be Taken?

Hi. My last period started on 27th july (the pattern being that it starts 2 days before the due date). It's 29th aug today, and i havnt had my period yet whereas i was expecting it on 25th aug. Is there a chance of pregnancy here? Also, how soon should i take a home pregnancy test for accurate results?

1. In your case possibilities of the pregnancy can not be ruled out. at the same time a day , two days delay can be expected in times.
2.Urine pregnancy / home pregnancy test is accurate after a missed period - and it gives 97% accuracy in the result after a missed period.
3.For early detection - blood BHCG would help, it will be any where a week to 10 days earlier than the urine pregnancy test.
4.An ultrasound also will give a trace of pregnancy in early stage - but cardiac activity of the foetal pole are seen after 6 weeks gestation.
5.How soon after delayed period - immediately after the delayed period is fine.
