How Soon Can HIV Infection Be Ruled Out After Unprotected Sex?

I received oral sex from a girl a little over 2 months ago and had only a minute of unprotected sex before I put on a condom. I was tested for hiv at 2 months and it cane back negative, but I know they say the window period is 3 months. I tend to scare myself a lot just thinking about it constantly. And I ve just recently had mild joint pain. Am I doing this to myself? Or should I be worried?

Hi

Very unlikely that the joint pain is at all related to the unprotected sex

Your chances of having acquired HIV this way are very very low but you should be retested in another month to confirm you're negative
