How Soon Can I Take A Pregnancy Test Inspite Of Having Late Periods?
I am 38 days late from my period which is always regular, I have taken two negative pregnancy tests. I was on fertility treatment and had four follicles therefore they decided against iui but we tried naturally now we are 38 days late. I feel pregnant, headache, dizziness, nausea, tightening in stomach and pinching sensation. Don't know what to do next?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, I understand your concern. After having 38 days delay in menstrual cycle ,& two pregnancy tests -ve,( which gets normally +ve after 8-10 days delay in periods.) It should be confirmed by repeat testing/ USG abdomen & then come to the conclusion of no pregnancy , Such condition demands medication for inducing vaginal bleeding--- thereby restrting the chances of conception with new menstrual cycle with assisted majors. The symptoms you have may arise due to hormonal imbalance/ psychological assumption of pregnancy. Please don't be tense, conception is a game of chance-be positive & try again. You can think of assisted conception with your doctor's advise. Thanks.
