How Soon Multiple Pulmonary Embolisms Of Both Lungs Can Be Recovered?

Hi, my husband was recently diagnosed with multiple pulmonary embolisms of both lungs and its only been 3 days since he has been released from the hospital and he says he feels great and wants to return to work. How serious is this condition and is it to soon for him to be returning back to work with this condition.

Hello
Thanks for the query.
Multiple pulmonary embolism is a serious condition and it can recur. It is only 3 days since he was discharged from the hospital I would recommend him to take rest for few more days. But he should not be immobile rather should daily normal walk and light household work and should continue anticoagulants and others drugs prescribed by his doctor.
Thank you.
Regards,
Dr Arnab Maji
