Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 54. I had an ACL/meniscus transplant in 2003. The ACL is now very stretched and the meniscus is all but gone. How successful will a second ACL revision be? I've heard the second surgery is never as good as the first surgery. Also, will cleaning up the meniscus help buy me time before I would need a total knee replacement? I am not currently in pain although I have lost a great deal of cartilege between my knee joint. Thank you in advance. kathy
