How The Lumps In Vein Can Be Treated?

I have two lumps in the vein where Intrvenous was inserted two days ago and low grade 100.1. At first I only felt one at the site, but now a half inch "cord" higher up. Just curious if this is normal. I was in er and diagnosed with diverticulitis. Bicep feels odd.

hi, thanks for the query.

The lump you have noticed following the IV is completely normal. It ll disapper in a few days. Its basically a clot formed there which will be dissolved by the bodies coagulation mechanism. If it still persists for more than a week, then you can apply Thrombophob ointment or gel to fasten the process.
