How To Abort Pregnancy?

hi Doc, my sister is 2 and half months pregnant. Her friends nurse told her to take misoprostol(cytotec) medicine. So she took those cytotec medicine. And as her friend says, she felt the cramping, diarhea and she was chilling then, then after that she started to bleed, it was heavy more than like normal menstruation. and she saw all the blood clots flowing from her inside.She kept taking those medicine like 14 times already. She wanna go to hospital to do abortion but she can t bec abortion here(philippines) is not allowed. She might be go in jail if she do that. Her friend nursr checked if her baby still have the pulse..still alive.. So what is the best thing to do Doc.. Where so hopeless we don t know what to do. your very best..._lcm09

Hello dear,i understand your concern.In my opinion the termination of pregnancy by medicines is possible only within 6-7 weeks.For a pregnancy of 2 and half months ie.,around 10 weeks medicines usually lead to incomplete abortion and so surgical method like D&C is preferred.That is why the abortion was not complete.Only option now to terminate is D&C .I am sorry for you as it is not allowed in your country but that is the only option left.
