How To Alleviate Tailbone Pain?

The tip of my coccyx (base of spine Coo1-Co4) is sore and it s very uncomfortable when I sit. FYI - I have lost about 30 lbs and have no butt left, thus no cushion. I m male, 64 and diabetic. Also, when I sit for any length of time my Ischium bones (I think) gets sore.

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Sore tail bone and ischium up on pressure are normal findings when weight loss too significant as bones press on a very small soft tissue cushion. The problem could as well be caused by a diabetic neuropathy.I will suggest you meet your Endocinologist and your Nutritionist to evaluate your diet and investigate if weight loss could be due to some medical condition not related to diabetes.I will however recommend:
-Enough rest
-Eat as recommended by your Nutritionist and balanced
-Regular glycemic control
-Avoid sitting or lying on a spot for long.Your may constantly change position when you are lying.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
