Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Swelling on the side of the neck can be due to thyroid growth if only one lobe is enlarged, but there are many other causes of neck swellings which can be differentiated by examination and ultrasound of neck. Example: lipoma, lymph nodes, aneurysm of carotids, tumors, etc.

It is advisable that you get your ultrasound of neck done to rule out the condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Maryum
