How To Avoid Ovulation Pain?

ok...well i'm 33 years old and have what i think is ovulation pain. I went to my gp because i was afraid that i may have appendicitis...working in the medical field my hypochondria most deffinately plays a huge role in my worry...he pressed on my stomach and no pain...he pressed on my ovaries and uterus and that was very uncomfortable....i have no fever, no nausea, i had diarhea but now nothing and if any very little, i'm gassy and hate being terrified...help please calm my nerves
