How To Avoid Recurrence Of Shingles?

I was diagnosed with shingles. I only had 3 sores. It was a very mild case. I don't know if they will come back. Can I do anything to stop them from coming back like vitamins? I have had itching and small sores on my leg. I don't know if it is shingles.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

There is a vaccine available to prevent recurrence of shingles. Recurrence of shingles is common when there is fall in immunity levels like in illness, stressful conditions.

So I suggest you replenish your immune system with a balanced diet and regular exercise.

Your present sores have to be examined by your treating doctor to confirm shingles.

You can discuss the option of vaccine also with him.

Thanks.
