How To Avoid Scarring Post Facial Laceration?

I recently got a small facial laceration to my face (near forehead/eye area) and required stitches for 4 days. I got the stitches off yesterday and was wondering what is the best post-care treatment to avoid scarring (scar away vs mederma etc). Thank you!

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, if stitches were done, with small suture threads and no overlapping was ensured less likely to remain as scar, however plastic surgeon review, may be needed. During recovery no infection, wound hygiene, and topical emollients should be ensured.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
