How To Avoid Unwanted Pregnancy?

Hi I had butt sex yesterday morning. It was my first time. I had my period 1-3 weeks ago, & i should be getting it soon. But I'm afraid that my partner slipped out of my butt and when in my vagina. He said nothing came out but I read that they aren't positive. Help me?

Hello,

The possibility of pregnancy cannot be completely eliminated. You can take Plan B emergency contraceptive within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. If you do not get your period as expected, take a home pregnancy test as well.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
