How To Calculate Weeks Of Pregnancy By Using Last Menstrual Cycle?
Can a Dr. tell if I m one month pregnant or two when i go for my first visit? On April 5th I had a slip up and i ended up taking the Plan B pill within 3 days. I got my period on April 17th, it was a little early, but it was a normal period, normal cramps. Then on April 30th it happened again, only this time i did not take the Plan B pill. Yesterday, May 21st I took a pregnancy test because i did not get my period and it came back positive. Is this pregnancy definitely from the most recent incident? Or is it possible that it was from the fist incident even though i took the plan B Pill and got my period? Will my Dr. be able to tell if I m one month or two by testing my Hormone levels? Please help!
Hi there, It is definitely from the recent incident that you are pregnant, that would mean that you are one month pregnant. If you want to be sure, do a urine pregnancy test as this will tell you how many weeks pregnant you are accurately. Ultrasound in early pregnancy is very accurate and can say for sure with a margin of just one week. And it is more reliable than the last menstrual period to tell about the expected date of delivery. So get an ultrasound done as soon as possible. Hope this helps. Regards.
