How To Check Blood Pressure With Sphygmomanometer?

Hello, I am trying to take my mother s blood pressure but I am confused as to how to accurately read the sphygmomanometer gauge. I see the gauge beginning to twitch at around 118mmHg, but I dont hear the first pulse sound until 92mmHg. This seems low. Can you please clear up which I should pay attention to?

if u r checking with stethoscope then the systolic bp is marked by first click sound
dont go by oscillations
92 is low
plz consult ur physician
