How To Clear Clogged Ear Due To Soap?

Hi my name Justin. I was taking a shower recently and I was washing my left ear, and I got a clog of soap in my ear, even farther than your finger can reach. I tried washing it out, but it only clogged up my ear worse. Please help is there anything to get the soap out of my ear. I'm afraid that it will set up hard in my hear, and I won't be able to hear:( I can't hear much at all out of the ear. Thank you

Thanks for contacting HCM

I am sorry to hear that you got some soap in your ear and it is causing difficulty for you to hear. With soap I usually recommend using a drop of rubbing alcohol in the ear which will help allow the soap and water to evaporate.

If the ear is blocked with wax then I recommend you take Colace a stool softener and place a few drops in the ear. After the drops have been in for a few minutes then gentle irrigation of the ear will help remove the blockage of wax.

If this does not stop the pressure and loss of hearing then you may need to be seen by a doctor to irrigate the ear to remove the material in your ear.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions please contact us again
