How To Clear Fluid Behind The Ear Drum?

Hello, my daughter has a bit of fluid behind her ear drum, will it help to use hydrogen peroxide to clear the fluid a bit? We have been to see an ENT, but they have said it s not serious enough to do anything just yet because she ll be swimming alot coming weeks, but it s causing a bit of deafness and Ï m wondering if a few drops of hydrogen peroxide 3 % would help to dry it up. Thanks Gerda - the Netherlands

Hello,

The fluid must be drained by a device called gromet. Consult an ENT specialist and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
