How To Combat Excessive Thirst?

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that i was much more thirsty than usual, and the more I drank the more I needed to urinate. I have not been to the doctor, but about a year ago i had blood work done and the doctor said i was border line diabetic. What can I do to combat this thirst, at least till i see the doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The very first thing is to check your blood sugar level (BSL) to evaluate at what extent you are controlling your blood sugar levels.

The main cause of having excessive thirst and frequent urination is persistent high blood sugar levels.

If your blood sugar levels are high, then, should try to bring them down through:
- medications
- lifestyle and diet changes
- herbal supplementaion

Once your BSL are reduced, your symptoms will be subsided too.

Wish fast recovery!
