How To Conceive If Periods Come Only When Using Birth Control?

Growing up I've always had an irregular cycle, 3 months on and 2 months off for a while. I got birth control which made my cycles regular. i'm married now and we're trying to have a child but my last period was on provera and that was in june 2010. i haven't had a period since. is this serious?
