How To Confirm Pregnancy?

I had my periods around the 4th August and a pinkish blood around the 11th of August, now I'm experiencing pain on the bones on my virginal opening, my nipples are tinglish, I have little butterfly feeling in my tummy. Can this be a sign of early pregnancy or should I wait to go on my periods for September?

Hi,

If you are not using any contraceptive method and if you had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is a possibility of pregnancy. But just by symptoms we cannot come to a conclusion regarding the possibility of pregnancy. Pain in the pelvis and tingling sensation at the nipples, etc. symptoms can be seen during the premenstrual period also.

Continuous thinking about the pregnancy can also lead to symptoms that mimic the pregnancy, which is called as spurious pregnancy. So better to wait till your expected date of periods and if you miss your periods, please go for a blood test for pregnancy. If the serum beta HCG levels in the blood test are less than 5 mIU/mL, that rules out the possibility of pregnancy or else you can wait for 5 to 6 days after your expected date of periods and go for a urine pregnancy test.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
