How To Control Acne And Dark Spots On Face As Medication Not Helping?
hey! Myself Mohit sharma 22 years old,an aeronautical engineering in the making.I've been suffering from the most common problem"ACNE" and the dark spots when the acne is somehow cured.I have taken all the necessary medication but the progress is 0.please help me.
Since you seem to have moderately severe acne, therefore as a treating doctor I would have started you on oral antibiotics e.g either doxycycline or azithromycin for 4-12 weeks depending on the severity and response to treatment.
Oral Retinoids are the best drugs for acne and are commonly prescribed by dermatologists for severe acne OR acne unresponsive to traditional medications. However, they should always be taken under the supervision of a dermatologist because of the need for a few blood tests and monitoring for liver functions and lipid profile while on oral retinoids.
Topical benzoyl peroxide gel twice daily for twice daily application, would have been my choice in case of severe acne.
A gentle cleansing lotion e.g cetaphil cleansing lotion is good enough for the cleansing that is required in acne prone facial skin, without causing any irritation.
regards
