Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand that you are having hair fall from the frontal and temporal areas. This is called as androgenetic alopecia or male pattern hair loss.
Your treatment seems to be on the right track.
In some patients, there is a transient increase in hair fall after 4-6 weeks of using minoxidil. This will settle down in a few week's time and is not a cause of concern. You can continue to use minoxidil. You will start noticing improvement usually by3 months of its regular use. Initially, the hair fall reduces and then hair regrowth begins.
You must remember that there is no "complete cure" for this type of hair fall. It is a genetically programmed condition which runs in families. Once you stop the medicines, hair fall may restart as the normal physiology sets in.
Hope this answers your queries.
Wishing you good health,
DR. Johny Chacko
