How To Control Increasing Cylindrical As Well As Spherical Power?
I had -2.5 cylindrical power in both my eyes. Recently I have been prescribed with a -2.75 cylindrical power along with -1.00 spherical power. Earlier I didn't have any spherical power (I visited the ophthalmologist after 2.5 years). Is my eyesight power is then tremendously increased closed to -4.00, although I wear my glasses religiously? Is this normal?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The spherical and cylindrical errors can be both corrected by glasses.
Both these errors can increase with passage of time.
It is not possible to predict till what time or till what age the power increases.
The power increases till adolescence commonly, however, it is not the rule.
Continue wearing your glasses and get your power checked regularly to note the increase as soon as possible.
