How To Control Weight Gain And Irregular Bleeding While Taking Steroid Injection?

I had a steriod injection into my elbow and hip for acute bursitis about 5-6 weeks ago. I am 47 and normally menstruate irregularly last few gaps have been six months. Since the injections I have put on nearly half a stone and have been having menstrual bleeding for four weeks, having tailed off for a few days it is now back with a vengeance. Is there anything I can do about either of these issues. (weight-gain and bleeding)
