How To Cure A Knot On Ankle Due To A Bruise Caused By An Injury?

this morning a full 25 fl oz bottle of conditioner fell from a shelf in my shower and hit my inner ankle, it instantly bruised and the vein looks as if it's swelled. my school nurse said i have about a 2 cm knot around it that is painful to touch, is there anything i can do for it?
