How To Cure A Soft Bump In Head Cause Due To An Injury With A Plastic Bowl?

my 6 year old son was hit on the side of his head by his little sister with the edge of her plastic bowl. The bump is soft to the touch. Worried. I applied a ice pack and the bump has shrunk but the s still a soft bump... Don t know if I should take him to ER

Hi,
You have taken the correct measures in applying an ice pack. The swelling will resolve in a day or two. It is most unlikely that the injury will have caused any serious injury. Paracetamol will help if there is pain. There is no need to take him to the ER.
