How To Cure Bruise Causing Discoloration And Swelling Of Eye?

Hi, I was hit in the left eye trying to break up a fight about 3 weeks ago. I ended up with a terriblly swollen shut and bruised black eye. Now most of the bruising is gone but I have a small knot over my eye and I also have 6th cranial palsy from this injury with a drooping eye just a little(eye looks smaller and turned down on the outer corner more than my other eye).I have dull headaches but nothing to major. I also have bad dizzy spells at times as well.I was seen by an opthamologist and i also had xrays done which showed no broken bones.I have to go back to the opthamologist in about 14 more days but I am concerned about the recovery time and also this knot. Please help!!!

black eye will go completely in 15 to 20days time. Apply ice compression over knot and wait. black eye eye is self limiting, and no treatment is required. sixth nerve palsy is a neurological, problem should make full recovery you can have consultation neurologists for examination and advise on treatment. maximum you may need a MRI with report you can consult neurologist. In my opinion you will recover completely without any treatment.
