How To Cure Bruise On Fingernail Along With Painful Legs And Hands?

I have persistent passion in my feet, ankles, knees, and hands. My fingernails have bruises (7 of 10). Recent urgent care visit blood work came back mostly normal ruling out RA. Am waiting for appointment with my regular doc. Anything else we should be looking at? Urgent care put me on a Prednisone regimen which has helped the pain immensely.

Hello,

I would explain that as long as the pain is relieved by prednisone, this is indicative of an inflammatory disorder.

For this reason, I recommend checking ASO titer antibodies, ANA and ANCA titer antibodies and uric acid plasma levels.

Further tests may be needed (including Vitamin D plasma levels, ENA profile, etc.). You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
