How To Cure Bulged Vein While Suffering From Afib?

I have been diagnosed with afib and I have inr done periodically. Last time I had blood they said they "blew a vein" it looks terrible. I have put ice on it and I do believe some of the swelling has gone down. Is there anything else I need to be doing or how long will be brusing be around? Just curious.

*Usual recovery of vein insult depends on the severity of lesion -
minor bruises / lacerations heal within 2-3 days quickly.
larger bruises / major insults take time may be 5-7 days depending on host
factors and associated comorbid conditions.
*Just keep applying ice 3-4 times a day.
*Take care not to injure it again.
*Keep check on INR , BP , Blood sugar should be under control well.
*Can apply soframycin type cream for faster healing with bandage.
*If increase in size or redness with pain / fever immediately consult doctor
