My daughter 9 years old. has a corn just below her big toe. Been to doctor. Had the ice on it twice over 1 month. It now is the size of a 5 cent piece purple in color and looks like a big blister. Does that sound like it sould look like that. Thanks Janette
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. From your description of the lesion, it seems to me that your daughter has developed a cryotherapy(ice) induced blister. It could occur as a result of cold injury from cryotherapy. I suggest that you could apply an antibiotic cream like 2% mupirocin or 1% fusidic acid twice a day till the blister heals. The corn sometimes falls off with the blister. If there is redness/swelling/pus discharge, please contact your doctor as it may suggest infection and may need oral antibiotics. Hope this helps you. Take care.
