General & Family Physician, Dr. Sulochana's Response
Hello, Thank you for writing to HCM.
Pigmentation may be due to post inflammation, photodamage, post acne, hormonal, Nevus, etc I would advice you to wash your face with 1% glycolic acid face wash twice daily. Use melacare cream over the hyperpigmented area only, daily night for 1 month. Take tablet vitamin C daily once for 1 month.
Apply sunscreen 30mins before you go out in Sun.
We need a clinical picture to Diagnose what pigmentation you have and for further management.
Regards.
