hii, i frm delhi..my problem is that from last 3 cycle, i am experiencing delayed periods ( by 15 days). I have all the symptoms of periods like back ache ,vomit feeling etc but periods are delayed. I am of 30 yrs age and single. What to do??.... I was doing workout from last 2 yrs...thats too very rigrous one means i spent 2 hrs in a gym..but i left the gym 6 mnths ago and from then there is no physical exercise. I am suffering from this problem after leaving gym. Please help.
There are different potential causes for a delay in menstruation. Some of these are the following: (1) abnormal levels of thyroid hormone
(2)extreme physical activity
(3)inadequate diet
(4)physical or emotional stress/illness
(5)increased level of prolactin
(6)polycystic ovarian syndrome- this condition is diagnosed when there are at least 2 of the following present: cysts on the ovarian seen on ultrasound, irregular periods, signs or symptoms of high levels testosterone (acne, abnormal hair growth).
IF the irregularity continues then you should consider visiting your doctor for an assessment.
